As an energy company, KSS operates across multiple business areas, from electricity distribution to district heating and customer services. Data was not the problem but knowing what to do with it was. The organization lacked a shared view of which data initiatives would generate the most value and how they related to each other.
KSS was looking for clarity on where to invest first and how to build capabilities in a way that supports each other.

Data Design carried out a data strategy project that started from business needs. Workshops were used to identify opportunities for developing three core processes, which were then refined into prioritized use cases.
Use cases were evaluated based on business value, feasibility, and interdependencies. The result was a phased development roadmap that progresses from data foundation through analytics toward broader utilization.

KSS Energia now has a prioritized use case portfolio and a clear view of the order in which capabilities should be built. The roadmap serves as the foundation for future data initiatives and helps direct resources toward the highest-impact areas.
The strategy gives KSS Energia the tools to make data investments more deliberate and to connect them more closely to business development.
