Data Design is a modern data and AI consultancy. We help our clients transform their business with data and AI - hands-on, fast, and without unnecessary hype. Our work spans strategic advisory, generative AI, and machine learning.
We are looking for 2–3 summer trainees to join our development team in AI and machine learning projects. You will work alongside experienced specialists, gaining hands-on experience in building and deploying AI solutions for real clients. Our team culture is open and collaborative - asking questions is encouraged, experimentation is genuine, and mistakes are seen as part of learning.
You will work on real projects, taking ideas from prototype to deployment. You'll have access to the latest tools in the industry, including Claude Code. We offer a fair salary matched to your skill level, and the opportunity to continue part-time in the autumn alongside your studies.
- Relevant university studies in a technical field (e.g., computer science, data science, information management, or similar) – in the final stages of a bachelor's or master's degree
- Python skills beyond the basics, particularly in data analysis, machine learning, and AI
- Understanding or hands-on experience with machine learning and generative AI, including applying language models and agent-based solutions to practical problems
- Ability to work independently and drive technical work forward while keeping business needs in mind
- Fluent in Finnish and English
- Ability to work at least part-time from our Espoo or Tampere office
- Define prototype requirements and document business needs
- Build machine learning models and apply language models in practical projects
- Develop user interfaces for AI solutions
- Support the deployment of AI solutions in client environments
