MHYP’s network needed a unified way to manage and use data across many organisations with different operating models. Without shared rules, data management practices varied, slowing down reporting and collaboration. At the same time, expectations for transparency, quality and coordinated development were rising both internally and from external partners.
To meet these needs, MHYP required a governance framework that could align different stakeholders, clarify responsibilities and guide data use in a consistent, secure and future-proof way.

Working closely with MHYP and representatives from the wider network, we designed a clear and scalable data governance model that fits the organisation’s operating environment.
Through interviews, collaborative workshops and a targeted pilot, we mapped the network’s core data domains, clarified ownership between different parties and defined common principles for how data should be used and governed.
The model provides structured guidance for decision-making, strengthens transparency in data use and supports coordinated development across organisations. A practical rollout plan and aligned governance processes ensure that the new principles integrate smoothly into everyday operations.

MHYP now has a shared, network-wide model for governing its most important data assets.
Teams across the network understand their roles, know how decisions are made and have a clear framework for using and developing data consistently.
The model has increased clarity, strengthened collaboration and improved the foundation for high-quality analytics and reporting. It also positions MHYP to move confidently toward broader data and AI initiatives, supported by common principles the whole network can rely on.
